Marie started the Hussy label at the tender age of 21 with just $2,000 in her pocket and a healthy combination of ambition, drive and a sense of adventure. Marie’s founding label Hussy is a highly distinguished and iconic brand at the forefront of the industry. In addition to three state of the art Hussy flagship stores in Sydney and Melbourne, Marie recently returned from Bali where she opened Hussy’s very first international store in the uber-stylish district of Seminyak.

Hussy is also stocked by 120 key retailers throughout the world, including department store giant David Jones here in Australia, Fred Segal Trend and Big Drop in the USA, Austique & Coco Ribbon in the UK, Frees Stores & Mahna Mahna in Japan, Villa Moda in Dubai and Kuwait, and Jasmine Box in Saudi Arabia to name a few.

Always looking for new challenges and ways to continue to provide for her loyal customer base, Marie introduced a new label to the Hussy empire in 2006. Madame Marie – a high-end, fashion-forward label that caters for a discerning and stylish customer who understands elegance and appreciates luxury, Madame Marie launched to critical acclaim, beginning with immediate front page coverage on the UK’s Sunday Times.

Australian Fashion Week 2007 saw the world premier of Madame Marie by way of an individual runway show which paved the way for the label to be stocked in elite boutiques such as Elizabeth Charles New York and San Francisco, Aria Boutique in Ireland, Rakkas in Greece and Rocco in Bahrain, to name a few. It wasn’t long before celebrities like Charlize Theron and Danii Minogue were seen adding Madame Marie to their wardrobes.
